Seven-store outdoor sporting goods specialist Cabela's plans to use an Internet-based service from Planalytics Inc. that the company says can measure the specific effects of future weather on consumer demand by product, location and time. "Impact LR [the Internet service offered by Planalytics is the only planning tool we've seen that offers long-range forecasts, down to the zip code level, of consumer demand for our seasonal outdoor products," said Cabela's marketing director Joe Friebe.
