What's hot Stylin' Tools - Proctor and Gamble and American Design Group introduce new line of styling tools - Brief Article

DSN Retailing Today, Feb 5, 2001

In today's fashion-frenzy world, consumers want to combat bad hair days before they start. Armed with this knowledge, Procter & Gamble, manufacturer of the Physique shampoos, conditioners and styling products, has joined with American Design Group to develop an innovative line of styling tools. Coined the Style Achievement Collection, each of the seven tools was created to complement the Physique Volumizing, Straight Shape or Curl Defining series of hair care products.

It's easy to understand which new tool handles which hairstyle. The volumizing hair dryer (SRP $24.99) and 3/4-in. curling iron (SRP $14.99) provide volume and lift; the straight shape hair dryer (SRP $24.99) and 1-in, or 1 1/2-in. curling iron (SRP $14.99) give smooth, straight hair; and the curl defining hair dryer (SRP $24.99) and 1/2-in. curling iron ($14.99) do just as they say: curl.

P&G is recommending that each porduct can and should be used with Physique shampoos, conditioners, foams, lotions, gels, creams and sprays.

The hair dryers feature removable diffusers, three-heat settings, two speeds and a cool shot to lock in the style you want. The curling irons heat up quickly and feature soft-grip comfort handles and automatic shut-off.

The Physique Style Achievement Collection is currently available at grocery, drug and mass market retailers nationwide.
