Helen of Troy - Vendor News - Kmart bankruptcy will not affect sales - Brief Article

DSN Retailing Today, Feb 11, 2002

Kmart's bankruptcy filing will not negatively impact sales and earnings for Helen of Troy, said Gerald Rubin, Helen of Troy's chairman, president and ceo. In a prepared statement, Rubin noted the company's outstanding receivable balance from Kmart is fairly low, approximately $1 million, and that its sales to Kmart over the past year were approximately 4% of total sales.

Rubin reaffirmed the company's fiscal year earnings per share estimate of 98 cents to $1.04 for the fiscal year ending Feb. 28.
