Vendor News--Using pins in dress shirt packaging has long been a thorny issue for the industry. That is why Wal-Mart is requesting that manufacturers utilize a safer alternative: Avery Dennison's new MicroPin technology. Removable by hand, these synthetic stitches avoid pin sticks and potential problems with customers. Wal-Mart is using MicroPin in brands including Puritan and George.
