DSN Retailing Today, Feb 25, 2002

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO -- OfficeMax is counting on a new advertising campaign with the tag line "Max mean's more" to boost sales this year. The ads debuted on national radio in mid-February. The campaign is intended to position OfficeMax as the brand that empowers small businesses with more of the tools they need to succeed in today's hyper-competitive business environment, according to the company.

"'Max Means More' is more than just an advertising campaign, it is a battle cry for our entire organization; a promise to our customers, investors and suppliers that 2002 will mean more in every respect--more service, more selection, more savings--for our core small business customer," said Michael Feuer, OfficeMax chairman and ceo.
