Target teams up with Tiger Woods - Market Watch - sponsor of the Tiger Woods Foundation's fund-raising golf tournament, the Target World Challenge - Brief Article

MINNEAPOLIS -- Target is deepening its involvement in professional golf. The retailer is the new title sponsor of the Tiger Woods Foundation's fund-raising golf tournament, the Target World Challenge, presented by Williams, which is held December 3 to 8 at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Target has been the presenting sponsor since 1999, but this year switched roles with Williams, an energy company. Target's title sponsorship commitment extends to 2006. Last year, Target sponsored Ty Tryon, who at 17 became the youngest player to join the PGA tour.
