HP's new president and ceo, Mark Hurd, took to his new office this month amid speculation that the company could be ripe for breakup. Hurd, formerly NCR's president and ceo, will receive a $1.4 million base salary and $2 million signing bonus with his four-year contract. Hurd replaces Carly Fiorina who was fired on Feb. 9.
