> Falling into the novel, or "wacky," category were a few mentionable items. One was the Flycatcher from Aladdin Innovations, a plastic bug catcher resembling a Venus flytrap that traps flies, snaps shut and "burps." Others were a portable alarm that "screams" when tampered with and Himalayan Salt Lamps, rock salt candle holders from the Himalayas that said to emit "healthful" negative ions to fend off "debilitating positive ions" coming from a computer, television or cell phone.
