School uniformity yields high marks

DSN Retailing Today, May 3, 2004

As previously noted, students have become accustomed to uniforms. According to school administrators, they are complying with uniform guidelines more closely than in the past. As a result, schools have relaxed uniform guidelines to involve a broader range of colors and designs.

The initial surge employing uniform programs may have tapered off, but demand is still growing. New schools are eager to reap the benefits uniforms can bring, and districts with existing programs are eager to see results continue to improve, which for retailers translate directly into more sales.
