Retail floors of Chicago building

Real Estate Alert, April 28, 2004

Madison Realty Management purchased the three-story, 151,000-sf retail portion of One North State Street in Chicago. The New York group paid about $40 million for the space, which is 99% leased to T.J. Maxx, Filene's Basement and 14 street-level shops. The seller was Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds, a unit of Goldman Sachs, via CB Richard Ellis.

The remainder of the 640,000-sf building at the corner of State and Madison Streets, is on the market for Whitehall via brokers at Jones Lang LaSalle.
