Real Estate Alert, March 3, 2004
Rockpoint Group has raised $400 million of investor capital for its debut opportunity fund, completing its first round of equity raising. It will likely add close to $200 million via a second round in a few weeks. The company is seeking to raise $750 million in total by midyear. Rockpoint is headed by Westbrook Partners cofounder William Walton, who split from partner Paul Kazilionis last year.
Kazilionis is rapidly raising a fund via his new firm, Westbrook Group. All of Rockpoint's investors so far were previously investors in old Westbrook funds.
