Software AG Launches Tamino - Brief Article - Product Announcement

ENT, June 14, 2000

Software AG USA recently began selling its XML information server Tamino in the US. Tamino, which is part of a full suite of XML-native products, offers a Web-enabled data management system for data exchange and application integration. Many relational databases need to convert data to other formats, but Tamino stores, retrieves, and exchanges data in XML. By being a native XML product, Tamino can accept and store XML data without previously defined structure, while allowing administrators to quickly respond to changing environments.

Tamino is available for Windows NT. Unix and Linux versions are expected to launch later this year.
