Microsoft, McData Form Strategic Agreement - Company Business and Marketing

ENT, June 28, 2000

Microsoft Corp. and McData Corp. signed a lab services agreement. The deal will establish a Microsoft and McData High-Availability Solution Center that offers customers prequalified and tested SANs for Windows 2000. Customers will be able to deploy both Windows 2000 and SANs.

The center is scheduled to open this month at two locations: Microsoft's (www.microsoft.com) Product Support Services (PSS) facility in Bellevue, Wash., and McData's (www.mcdata.com) System Integration Lab in Broomfield, Colo.

At each facility, customers will be able to test high-availability SANs with Microsoft and McData products and evaluate the capabilities of various configurations.
