PRODUCT INTRO : FastLane's Multidirectory Application Builder - Fast Lane Technologies' DM/Developer 7.0 - Brief Article - Product Announcement

ENT, August 18, 1999

FastLane Technologies Inc. says its DM/Developer 7.0, doesn't care what directory service developers choose to write their applications to.

The new version of DM/Developer automates the management of directories for Windows NT, Novell NDS, Microsoft Exchange, ODBC, LDAP and Active Directory, including support for the Active Directory Services Interface.

FastLane reports that one customer, Sybase Inc. (www.sybase.com), used an earlier version of the software to build an application that streamlined account management for its employees that included a Unix login, SMTP mail, Windows NT domain, Lotus Notes mail and SQL database access.

DM/Developer 7.0 will be available as a standalone application and as a component of FastLane's DM/Suite. The product will be available later this quarter. Additional ERP applications and Internet directory support are expected to be included in subsequent releases.
