Hyperion's Financial Solutions in Beta - Product Development - Brief Article

Hyperion Solutions Corp. announced that it released two new financial analysis products into beta, Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion Planning.

Financial Management will help users consolidate financial reporting, business analysis, and planning in a centralized Web-based application. It is an off-the-shelf tool, and its functionality can be extended through the use of industry standard tools. It will also better utilize existing enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management systems by drawing data from them and any other ODBC-compliant data source.

Hyperion Planning will offer companies centralized application distribution so users can access the same data at the same time. Users will also be able to track the progress of their budget, create new plans, and reduce planning cycle time. The product also offers a collaborative planning capability, the ability to create performance drivers and scorecards, and allows users to build custom business rules.

Both Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion Planning solutions are due out by the end of September.
