NTP Software announced the release of new Advanced Application Management Kits for Microsoft's Internet Information Server 4.0, SQL Server 6.5, Proxy Server 2.0, and System Management Service 2.0. The kits include predefined templates for out-of-the-box monitoring. They are available to System Sentinel customers for download from NTP's Web site.
A self-diagnosing and troubleshooting solution that pinpoints internal sys tem and application problems, System Sentinel can restart failed applications and system services or take other specified corrective actions. It is fully configurable to follow directions and provides advanced log management.

System Sentinel is dedicated to real time monitoring of critical applications, Windows NT/2000 event logs, Unix and Linux syslogs, and TCP/IP servers and devices. Built-in fault tolerance ensures that the monitoring and management of a system will continue without interruption if the primary server running System Sentinel should fail. System Sentinel monitors locally via installed agents and remotely via agentless management, then takes corrective actions on the server or device where a problem occurred.
