Intrusion Detection Updates KSA

Intrusion Detection Inc. (New York) announced version 4.03 of the Kane Security Analyst (KSA), a network security assessment tool for Windows NT.KSA 4.03 features stronger password cracking capabilities. In addition, KSA 4.03 now fully supports Windows NT, Windows 95 and Windows 3.1x clients.

Trend Micro Protects SBS

Trend Micro Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.) announced OfficeScan for SBS, virus and malicious ActiveX/Java code protection software designed for Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS). OfficeScan for SBS provides realtime, scheduled and manual desktop scanning and cleaning options for a variety of files, including files attached to e-mail in Exchange mailboxes and personal folders.

Netoria Automates NDS Login

Netoria Inc. (Orem, Utah) announced version 2.00 of SFLogin 32, a login enhancer for Novell Directory Services (NDS). SFLogin 32 2.00 supports Windows NT and Windows 95 workstations and simplifies the NDS login process by allowing contextless login, single sign-on with Lotus Notes, password synchronization, customized login screens, NDS-based workstation management and security improvements.

Sunbelt Helps Users Recover NT

Sunbelt Software Distribution Inc. (Clearwater, Fla.) announced RecoverNT, an undeletion utility for Windows NT 4.0. Recover NT provides the capability to recover or undelete files that were deleted from the command prompt or thrown out of the recycle bin. RecoverNT bypasses the file system and scans the hard disk for both directories and files and builds its own directory tree through which users can drill down to find the deleted file.

Heroix Revamps RoboMonNT

Heroix Corp. announced version 6.4 of RoboMonNT, software that automates NT system administration, monitoring events and identifying problems associated with Microsoft's BackOffice server components.
