PC Docs Group Targets Fulcrum

PC Docs Group Int'l Inc. (Toronto) and Fulcrum Technologies Inc. (Ottawa) announced the signing of agreements under which PC Docs Group will make an offer to acquire Fulcrum. Under terms of the agreements, PC Docs Group intends to make a takeover bid to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Fulcrum. The deal will enable PC Docs to offer an enterprise document system that combines its DOCS Open document repository with Fulcrum's K-net knowledge management product.

Computer Associates and ISG Team for Jasmine

Computer Associates Int'l Inc. (Islandia, N.Y.) and ISG Int'l Software Group (Burlington, Mass.) announced that the two companies will integrate ISG's ISG Navigator Universal Data Access software with Computer Associates' Jasmine object-oriented database. Users will be able to use ISG Navigator to access Jasmine data from ODBC toolsets, and the integration supports ADO/OLE DB connectivity to Jasmine. Jasmine data is enhanced by ISG Navigator's supported OLE DB and ActiveX interfaces.

Prism Solutions Focuses on Customers

Prism Solutions Inc. (Sunnyvale, Calif.) announced an agreement to acquire Customer Focus Int'l Inc. (CFI, Orange, Calif.), a provider of customer relationship management solutions for the financial service industry. The acquisition is expected to extend Prism's data warehousing offerings by adding a data model and a suite of applications for managing customer relationship to the mix. CFI will become the Vertical Solutions Strategic Business Unit of Prism Solutions, offering software products and consulting services for data warehousing for the financial industry.

Keyfile Corp. Enters Hospitality Industry

Keyfile Corp. (Nashua, N.H.) announced that it has sold 125 seats of its Keyflow workflow solution for Microsoft Exchange to Bristol Hotels and Resorts (Dallas), the largest owner of full-service hotels in North America. Bristol Hotels will use Keyflow to automate critical business processes that have been paper-based in its 103 hotels and at its home office location. Keyflow enables users in the home office to launch workflows that contain all of the information and documents needed to proceed with and complete various business processes.
