Cognos Rolls Out E-Apps for Oracle - Product Development - Brief Article

Cognos Corp. recently announced at the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) that it is the first business intelligence (BI) vendor to offer packaged e-Applications for Oracle's e-business suite.

Cognos' (www.cognos.com) e-Applications are analytic applications that will provide Oracle e-business suite users with faster and more efficient business performance measurement.

Using e-Applications, customers will be able to leverage their Oracle investments, enhance customer relationships, improve business-to-business contact, and provide users with Web-based, business-critical information for more effective decision making.

Oracle customers will now be able to increase the value of their enterprise data for sales and inventory analysis. By using e-Applications, Oracle customers can obtain business-ready content to aid with business decisions; production-ready architecture to help IT departments increase speed of solution implementation and maintenance; and e-ready solutions to assist companies in deploying Web-based data for employees and customers. The products will be available within the next three months.
