DIRECT PRODUCT SALES

AORN will allow direct sales of products on the exhibit floor again this year. Sales and order taking are permitted provided all transactions are conducted in a manner consistent with the professional nature of the exhibits. Companies must have obtained all applicable sales tax permits, including those from the state of Texas.

ELECTRONIC JOB BULLETIN BOARD

Are you at a crossroads in your career? Are you underemployed, unemployed, or moving to another location, or do you just need a change? Opportunity, AORN's employment service, again will have the EJBB at Congress with listings of nursing jobs nationwide. Exhibiting companies may list their open sales and marketing positions on the EJBB as well. The EJBB will be available on computer stations throughout the Dallas Convention Center. Congress participants will be able to gain access via computer to available listings of nursing positions. See a job you like? Print it on the laser printer and contact the employer at your convenience, or meet with on-site representatives from various employers by contacting them through the convention Message Center. Last year, there were more than 700 nursing positions listed on the EJBB. If you would like to list a position on the EJBB, please contact Sharon Michael at (800) 755-2676 x 225.

If you have interim management or on-site consultation requirements, please stop by the Opportunity booth during registration hours to receive further information. Or you may contact Deb Smith at (800) 755-2676 x 266.

CONTINUING EDUCATION PAVILION

HealthStream, Inc, is sponsoring a continuing education pavilion for Congress attendees. What does this mean? A bank of computers will be available for Congress attendees to enter the AORN Congress education sessions they attend. Attendees will be able to leave Congress with a printed contact hour record. HealthStream will have customer service representatives to assist attendees in using this technology. Look in the February Journal and the Congress final information letter, sent immediately before Congress, for more information.
