AORN Journal, Jan, 2004
Nominating Committee members work together to prepare and present an annual slate of candidates for national office. They also act as tellers for the election at Congress. The committee is composed of five members who are elected by the House of Delegates at Congress. The immediate AOICN past President serves as the advisor for this committee. The chair is elected by members of the committee.
At the 2004 Congress, delegates will elect three new members to the Nominating Committee. Two members continue in their two-year terms to provide continuity. Nominating Committee members will be wearing lavender ribbons at Congress, and candidates will be wearing light green ribbons. The caption under each Nominating Committee member's photograph identifies the person's job title and location and the year his or her term expires.
