The "Editorial" discusses the new look of the Journal, which has been modernized to include a new graphic design in the articles and monthly columns. * Air article on organ transplantation says that, currently, liver transplantations are performed at seven locations around the country. * The Journal reports that this year the first CNORs will be applying for recertification.

Applicants must show evidence of 30 contact hours earned between May 1, 1979 and May 1, 1984. * An article states that the risk of dying from pulmonary embolus is twice as great today as it was 29 years ago. 'Ibis may be due in part to advances in medicine that allow complex surgery on patients who previously would not have been surgical candidates.
