AORN Journal, Jan, 2007
The AORN Board of Directors governs the affairs of the Association. Officers and Board members are elected by the House of Delegates at Congress. The President and President-elect each serve one-year terms; all other members of the Board of Directors serve two-year terms. Elections are staggered so the Board never is composed completely of new members.
The Board meets after Congress each year and at least two other times during the year. Reports from the Board of Directors' meetings are prepared by the Secretary and submitted to the AORN Journal for publication.
