Results of an AORN membership survey are provided. Ninety-one percent of the respondents were women. The mean age was 47 years and mean years of nursing experience was 20. Staff nurses received a salary ranging from $36,000 to $42,000. Slightly more than one-quarter of respondents had a baccalaureate degree.
