Resource and materials management week announced

The Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM) has designated Oct 3-9, 2004, as National Healthcare Resource and Materials Management Week to recognize the integral role of materials management departments in delivering high-quality patient care, according to a July 28, 2004, news release from AHRMM. The theme for the week is "Finding Solutions, Raising Standards."

Hospitals are encouraged to participate in National Healthcare Resource and Materials Management Week by acknowledging materials management and procurement professionals with special events and staff-wide recognition.
