"News in ORbit" reports that America's first two-man spacecraft, Gemini, was equipped with medications for pain relief, nausea prevention, and restoring consciousness, as well as antibiotics and antimalarials. * A nurse writes about her facility's first experience with separating conjoined twins.

Both twins survived the procedure. * An article discusses shoulder-hand syndrome, or "frozen shoulder," which is commonly associated with myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, gout, arthritis, and musculoskeletal disorders. * "AORN Proceedings" states that the National Committee on Education will hold a five-day Leadership Conference in response to requests from OR supervisors. Topics will include developing leadership skills, building teams, and improving communication.
