The Editor reports that attendees joined hands and formed a circle to sing the song We Are the World. * An author discusses using a computer program to teach nurses the principles of positioning surgical patients.

* "Ethics" states that living will legislation has been enacted in 35 states. Living will laws make it a legal responsibility for physicians and nurses to follow patients advance directives where only an ethical obligation previously existed. * A news item reports that a study has found that polysorbate 60 will not cure male baldness. Some study participants perceived new hair growth as a result of the placebo effect, according to the researchers.
