AORN program provides resources for facilities

AORN's Perioperative Facility Package provides perioperative RNs with the tools and resources they need to increase patient safety, accomplish practice excellence, and achieve and maintain Magnet status. The program is designed to help hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers improve staff-member competency Levels and support continuing education.

The tools included in the program will help health care facilities

* optimize patient outcomes;

* increase success in recruitment and retention;

* establish competency standards and guidelines for staff members;

*build stronger teams,

* improve communications, and

* develop Leaders.

The Perioperative Facility Package also includes group rates for AORN memberships; savings on CNOR certification and recertification provided by the Competency & Credentialing Institute; and discounts on AORN conferences, periodicals, and continuing education articles and educational activities. In addition, a facility will receive $500 in AORN vouchers for every 20 RNs included in its package.
