RURAL/SMALL HOSPITAL UPDATE: MOVING FORWARD

More than 45 people attended the Rural/Small Hospital Specialty Assembly update, which was held on Monday, March 22. Chair Darin M. Prescott, RN, CNOR, C, started the meeting by introducing the governing council members. Member correspondence has been a priority of the governing council this year. Each council member sends monthly updates to specific specialty assembly members in their area.

Michelle M. Roberts, RN, CNOR, newsletter editor, thanked Arizant, Eden Prairie, Minn, for their ad in the newsletter. She also asked members to write an article for the newsletter as a way of getting published.

There was active discussion regarding the e-Chapter topic introduced during the First Forum. Prescott asked attendees, most of whom are in a rural setting, how they felt about e-Chapter. Many of the members shared that they are members of both e-Chapter and the specialty assembly.
