Med Pass Program Benefits

Residents should receive at least 2 fluid ounces (60 cc) of a nutritionally complete, high-calorie, high-protein MNS at each medication pass. Two fluid ounces of TwoCal[R] HN provides an additional 119 kcal and 5 grams of protein at each medication pass. When given four times a day, a total of 475 calories, 19.9 grams of protein, and 25% of the Recommended Dietary Intake (RDI) for vitamins and minerals per day is delivered. Table 5 lists a complete nutrient profile for TwoCal[R] HN, a nutritionally complete, high-calorie, high-protein MNS.
