DoughNET Promo Packs a Punch

Selling to Kids, July 26, 2000

E-commerce is coming to a lunchbox near you. Kid commerce site DoughNET.com is partnering with Hawaiian Punch for a "Cool School Cash" promotion. The campaign begins Aug. 1 and runs through September, with special DoughCodes printed behind the labels of Hawaiian Punch containers. Every DoughCode offers the winner a $20 online account, and kids can also win a $10,000, $1,000, $250 or $50 online account. DoughNET execs are hoping the "School Cash" campaign will rev up teens' interest in e-spending during the second-busiest shopping season of the year, while Dr. Pepper/Seven Up is banking on the financial incentive to get more teens drinking its punch.
