Pharmaceutical & Health Technology (DPHT) -- P & HT is involved in all aspects of information science, as related to education, research, business and marketing in the health care field.
Physics-Astronomy-Mathematics (DPAM) -- PAM is a dynamic group working to provide cooperative advantages for our fellow information professionals in physics, astronomy and mathematics.
Science-Technology (DST) -- The objectives of the Science-Technology Division shall be to draw together members having an interest in the role of library and information science as applied to the recording, retrieval, and dissemination of information in all areas of science and technology.
Social Science (DSOC) -- Members are librarians and information professionals working in foundations, associations, universities, research organizations, corporations, law firms, all levels of government, and international agencies and organizations.
Geography and Map Section -- The scope of the Geography and Map Section encompasses all aspects of the production, procurement, processing, and utilization of geographic and cartographic information and includes the professions of geography, map and geospatial librarianship.
Solo Librarians (DSOL) -- To share ideas, problems, and solutions unique to the Solo Librarian (an isolated librarian or information collector/provider who has no professional peers within the immediate organization).
Transportation (DTRN) -- The Transportation Division promotes the exchangeof knowledge and information among individuals and organizations intersted in the development, control and use of information resources in transportation.
SLA is organized into 58 regional Chapters that elect officers, issue bulletins or meeting announcements, hold three to nine program meetings during a year, and initiate special projects. Members in all classes may affiliate with the Chapter nearest their own preferred mailing address (either business or residence) without charge.
