DMAH provides travel grant to Nicaraguan librarian - Chapter and Division News - Museums, Arts and Humanities Division - Brief Article

SLA's Museums, Arts & Humanities Division (DMAH) has invited Conny Mendez Rojas of Managua, Nicaragua, to be the division's guest at the 2002 SLA Conference in Los Angeles. Mendez received a $500 travel grant, conference registration and tickets to all DMAH-sponsored tours and events. Mendez serves as a documentation officer for 'Save the Children Norway' in Nicaragua, an independent, non-governmental organization advocating for the rights of children.
From 1988-1996, she served as library director of the Universidad Centroamericana in Managua.
