Laura Claggett, past-president of SLA Illinois, and former manager of the Knowledge Bank at Helene Curtis/Unilever for 18 years, has joined UOP (Universal Oil Products) as the manager of Library and Information Services in DesPlaines, Illinois. UOP's library dates back to 1926, and has a rich history of providing research assistance to the many scientists, engineers and legal counselors worldwide.

Filling a position that has been vacant for over a year, Claggett brings welcome leadership to strategically updating and improving information services. HOP is jointly owned by Honeywell and Dow Chemical.
