Non-chrome, No-rinse Coating Protects Aluminum & HDG

Automotive Manufacturing & Production, Dec, 2000

BetzDearborn's (Trevose, PA) Permatreat [TM] 1021B non-chrome, no-rinse pretreatment requires no rinsing after the wet film dries on the metal surface. The coating can be applied at ambient temperature by forward or reverse roll coat, or by dip-squeegee, followed by drying with forced hot air or infrared or gas-fired heating panels.

Aluminum and HDG surfaces can received longterm corrosion protection and enhanced paint adhesion properties without the environmental problems and waste treatment & sludge disposal costs associated with products containing chromium compounds, the company claims.
