Improved Chip Control/Finish in Aluminum

KPT Kaiser's (Elk Grove Village, IL) new chip breaker provides improved chip control and enhances surface finish for high speed machining of aluminum workpieces. The chip breaker fits on top of a polycrystalline diamond tipped carbide insert. It deflects the chip away from the cutting surface. Two KPT/Kaiser inserts are offered with the chip breaker: 11.938.831, a TP07 with a radius of .012 and width of .086 in.

and 11.938.832, a TC11 with radius of .016 and width of .130 in.
