Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedGet a Grip - pneumatic-actuation grippers from Schunk Inc - Brief Article
Automotive Manufacturing & Production, May, 2001
Who: Schunk Inc. (Morrisville, NC)
What: Extended size range for two-finger parallel grippers for tool and parts handling.
Why you should care: These pneumatic-actuation grippers have a compact design, high gripping forces and high repeatability and can be used in removed machining parts handling environments over long periods.
Pertinent Data: The new finger lengths for the grippers are 20mm, 50mm and 64mm. The grippers are constructed with double guided base jaws separated by precision sized pins. They are made of high-tensile aluminum alloy and hardened steel components and can be mounted in almost any position, depending on the application. Two finger positions are monitored with inductive proximity switches and the grippers are equipped with spring assist, which adds a margin of safety in the event of an air loss during operation.
