New Generation HMC is Heavier, Cleaner, Tougher

Automotive Manufacturing & Production, Sept, 2000

The new horizontal spindle H-15 Series 06A machining center from Cellular Concepts (Detroit), designed to be a benchmark for production-oriented machining centers, is heavier, cleaner, tougher and loaded with new features from the base to the CNC. New features include: stiffer system overall, including the rigid new integral base and heavy ribbing, permitting heavier chip loads, higher torque and higher metal removal rates; dry-floor operation with 1-piece guarding, including closed top, illuminated work area and heavy-duty, coolant-tight door system; 3-point leveling eliminates the need for expensive anchoring or foundations; quick evacuation of all types of chips from stringy steel to fine iron.

For more details, enter 2 on the RSC, or visit the Cell-Con booth at IMTS, #A-8369.
