Latin Jazz Composer Has New Album At Age 80 - ArtÃculo Breve
Hispanic Times Magazine, Dec, 1999 by Chico O'Farrill
Mythic and elusive, the musical composer and historian Arturo O'Farrill, at age 80 years, has come into the forefront again with a new international album release. "Heart of A Legend" is on the Milestone label.
A passionate and intelligent tribute to O'Farrill's rich history, "Heart of A Legend" contains an intoxicating compilation of O'Farrill's songs. In 1996, he received a Grammy nomination for his last earlier professional work "Pure Emotion."
O'Farrill is considered the last living architect of Afro-Cuban music.
