Camino Real Appoints New Marketing Chief

Mexico City, Mexico -- Camino Real Hotels & Resorts, a leading hotel chain in Mexico for four decades with properties stretching from the Pacific to the Caribbean, has appointed Adrian G. Schjetnan to lead its sales and marketing efforts.

Mr. Schjetnan, who will serve as the director of sales and marketing, brings 22 years of hotel operations, development, planning, sales and marketing experience to his new position, including a previous 10-year stint at Camino Real.

Grupo Empresarial Angeles, a 100 percent Mexican owned real estate investment company, which owns and operates hospitals, 12 airline terminals and 70 gourmet coffee shops as well as furniture, electronics and appliance stores, purchased Camino Real in June 2000.

"Grupo Angeles is investing millions of dollars in upgrades and renovations of Camino Real properties during the next two years," said Mr. Schjetnan.

Mr. Schjetnan is a native of Mexico City and a graduate of Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he earned a B.A. in Business Management. One of the top 20 amateur golfers in Mexico, he also enjoys the theater. Mr. Schjetnan and his wife, Trena, have been married for 22 years and have two sons, Christian and Paul.
