Glyph Technologies Presents Trip Rack-Mount Storage Units

Emedia Professional, Dec, 1998

Glyph Technologies Inc. has announced its new product line of three-space, rack-mount storage units, called Trip, for the professional digital media storage market. Professionals can select any format, size, and type of storage and/or CD-R components for these multifunction devices to meet their exacting needs. Glyph has named and configured several models that it anticipates will have strong demand. The QuadraBurn Trip has four 4X/8X CD-R drives, an Adaptec 2940U SCSI card, and Prassi CD Rep recording software for PC compatibles, and has a manufacturer's suggested list price of $3,739. The PT24 Trip is a tailored package of two hot-swappable Kingston drives or up to 46GB hard drives, a tape back-up unit, and a CD-R drive bundled with DigiDesign's ProTools 24, running for $10,579, The Paris Trip is the same as the PT24 except with two populated drives for the Ensoniq Paris, while the Naked Trip is a simple rack with narrow or wide hard-drive receivers (no drives).
