Maxell's New SuperDisk Drive Targeted for Notebook Computers

Maxell Corporation of America has introduced a PCMCIA SuperDisk drive that weighs 10oz and is targeted for use in notebook computers. SuperDisk technology offers backward-compatibility with traditional floppy disks and up to 120MB of storage per SuperDisk diskette. "We are pleased to provide a complete SuperDisk package, including our PCMCIA drive and media," says Charlie Newcomer, vice president of sales and marketing for Maxell's Data Storage Group. "It's an ideal removable storage solution for notebook users on the go looking for backward compatibility to the 1.44MB floppy." The drive has a retail price of $279.99.
