Smart Storage Releases New Version of SmartCD API

Smart Storage Inc. has announced the latest version of its product family of API toolkits, SmartCD API v. 3.0 (including SmartCD Recording API, SmartCD Autoloader API, SmartCD Jukebox API, and SmartCD File System API). The toolkits are designed to provide Windows NT and UNIX application developers with simple and cost-effective solutions for seamlessly integrating CD/DVD storage with storage-intensive applications. SmartCD APIs provide device drivers for low-level devices as well as a robust file system product that fully manages network storage in CD/DVD jukeboxes. With Smart Storage's UDF file system, the SmartCD File System API delivers single drive-letter access for seamless read/write integration. The toolkits ship as well-documented C/C libraries and DLLs, complete with C/C and Visual Basic example programs. Pricing begins at $2,800 and varies depending on the toolkit selected and the devices being supported.
