Adaptec introduces DirectCD for Macintosh

Emedia Professional, May, 1998

Adaptec's CD-R packet-writing software, DirectCD, now supports the Macintosh platform. Macintosh users can now drag-and-drop or save files directly to CD-R and CD-RW drives as if they were using a massive floppy disk drive. The software can create discs that allow for file interchange between operating systems, so discs written with DirectCD for Macintosh can be read by Windows 95 or NT systems with DirectCD and compatible drives, and vice-versa. Data can be read or written by the Macintosh OS Finder or any other application.
