Desktop Delivery - training programs from TrueYou.com - Brief Article
Workforce, Dec, 2000 by Victor D. Infante
It goes without saying that training is important, but many employers find themselves fretting over both the dollars and time involved. For these companies, TrueYou.com has instituted a series of desktop training programs that allow employees to learn new skills and receive coaching. The program also includes tracking and assessment tools to generate reports to client companies on the effectiveness of particular components of the Web-delivered curriculum.
"We've enrolled our people for continuing training," says Richard A. Eisner, a managing partner of the professional services firm Richard A. Eisner & Company, "because increasing productivity, optimizing interpersonal skills, and improving communication with clients are essential to our professionals."
Some of the training programs available include "The Sales Invigoration Program," "Communicating with Clout," "Prospects for Success," and "Closings: Seal the Deal."
The programs consist of BestSteps, three minute text and streaming audio messages written and narrated by business and best-selling motivational authors, including Barbara De Angelis, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, and Dan Millman.
Says Eisner, whose company instituted the program in July 2000, "The people on our staff have benefited enormously from the TrueYou Professional Development Programs. They really address our particular needs in a cost-effective way without lost work time."
