Premiere Choice Awards - Philips Consumer Electronics service awards - Brief Article
Workforce, August, 2001
When Philips Consumer Electronics' human resources department decided to refresh its service anniversary award program, it wanted something unique. No more "traditional" pins, watches, or plaques with the company logo. It had to be something that would convey the company's appreciation for an employee's years of service. At the same time, it had to appeal to more than 1,200 employees.
Philips chose Premiere Choice Awards [R], gift certificate awards by Hallmark. Online ordering and account management tools made program implementation easy. Customization made each award personal and meaningful. And since the recipient could redeem the Premiere Choice Award for his or her choice of gift certificates from more than 400 merchants, it was appropriate for every employee.
Philips has been pleased with its decision to use Premiere Choice Awards for its service anniversary award program. And so have its employees. According to Gary Clark, Compensation and Benefits, the Premiere Choice Award "has been very well received by our employees. They like the variety and flexibility offered by the new program."
