Author Nicholasa Mohr, Nuyorican Poets, Open Mic, YerbaBuena musiciaans and Art at Taller Boricua's Thursday Night Jams
Stories from East Harlem, dancing and Afro-Caribbean music and Nuyorican poetry and prose combine to create New York's most diverse cultural corner. Open mic for young poets and writers starts at 7:30 to 8:30; Literary reading by Nicholasa Mohr from 8:30 to 9 p.m.; all this takes place in the Julia de Burgos Cultural Center's Main Art Gallery where you can view the digital works of Fernando Salicrup, Marcos Dimas and others.
