Latin Beat Magazine, May, 2003 by Franz Reynold
After 13 years in print, Latin Beat Magazine is set to launch a new, expanded version of their online presence. The website will allow the magazine to feature additional content, written in both English and Spanish, that gives greater prominence to the entire range of Latin music.
Rock en Español, Mariachi, Norteña and Tropical music, as well as Latin Hip Hop, Pop and current trends like Reggaetón will all be part of the mix. So will the sounds of Brazil, the Colombian vallenato and the contemporary trova.
Starting June 1st, 2003, aficionados can log on to www.lbmo.com, or www.latinbeatmagazine.com to access artist profiles, music reviews, and articles about the latest movies and TV shows, in addition to listings of the most popular hits on the radio. There will also be coverage of the hottest clubs, upcoming concerts and new musical talent.
The publishers of the magazine are excited at the prospect of providing Latin music lovers with even more information about the rhythms and flavors that make these genres such a huge draw worldwide. They also hope that the new website will function as a hub for introducing new generations of non-Spanish speaking fans to the sounds that have transcended the language barrier and become one of the most pleasurable and powerful cultural expressions ever created--Franz Reynold, Online Editor
