Multi-protocol gateway - Products
Diesel Progress North American Edition, Oct, 2002
Vansco Electronics Ltd. has introduced its multi-protocol gateway, model PGM containing two J1939 ports, a J1708 port and an RS232 port. The PGM is designed for a range of applications including the agricultural, bus, truck and heavy equipment industries. The module is built to serve as a network link between multiplex systems primarily for vehicular application, while providing isolation and filtering between critical systems such as the drivetrain and the chassis control system. Network message filters are configured and downloaded to the PGM using a PC-based configuration tool. An RS-232 interface allows for connection to onboard computer or laptops. The PGM passes real time data through the serial port for performing diagnostics.
