Ballard Power Systems has won a $1.88 million order from a new automotive customer for its fuel cell power system and support services. Ballard did not name the customer, or outline terms of the deal. The contract includes its Mark 902 fuel cell engine, engineering, integration, and vehicle launch support.
In other Ballard news, the company said it will supply Honda with 32 fuel cells over the next three years, building on an existing supply deal with the Japanese carmaker. Ballard gave no financial terms for the agreement. It said the pact included support services for Honda's fuel cell vehicle customer deliveries in Japan and the United States. Ballard will supply Honda with its Mark 902 fuel cells through 2005.
